One of Dreamworks best features in a while is the story of Hicup, a young viking that lives in a town where you're nothing if you don't kill dragons. Of course as the script would have it, he captures one and befriends it, learning all sorts dragon secrets in the process. He uses these dragon taming tricks to convince his town he is the shit. The dragon is pretty amusing and has all the cute and cuddly features of a cat with the loyalty of a dog.

Its a pretty cliche but solid story with good voice work. The 3D probably makes the experience way better since there are several sequences where the hero flies and swoops around on his dragon.

Worth a theater visit, even though I'm irate that 3D prices just went up.
