I have a couple of comments about this story. First, you gotta love the picture in the story of the fat chick smoking a cigarette. Thanks for clearing up any confusion I had as to what obesity was. Second, not to pick hairs but there is no such thing as the journal obesity, the only journal about obesity is called the International Journal of Obesity. This just leads me to doubt the credibility of the article to which I could not find the actually study reporting these facts. Not to say of course that I in any way doubt that that many new recruits are obese, just annoyed at the poor quality of the article in their attempt to write about this.
