After comparing his low bowling score of 129 to "like the special olympics or something", Obama was smart enough to call the special olympics people and apologize for the comment before the remarks were even aired. The special olympics guy, Tim Shriver, accepted the apology on behalf of all those special olympians who are too slow to accept the apology for themselves.

Shriver also suggested that Obama could learn to bowl from a special olympian around detroit who had bowled 3 perfect games.
