Nothing is being teleported, silly. 
as they mention in the article. but information transmitted instantaneously is the next best thing and an important precursor for teleporting. hope im alive when they get it down and i get to see the ethics unfold of destroying the original object or person once its been received. its had its fair share of debate in science fiction. should be fun IRL.
