This strikes close to my heart as we had an asteroids cabinet when I was a child. Good for him. Good. For. Him. 
i played a really cool rip off of asteroids for ps3 a while back. there was a demo for it that let you play 3 or 4 levels. but each level was an infected cell and you were like a medicine droid shooting at the infection bad guys. 
I think I played that same demo.
