There seem to be lots of things missing or that just plain don't work.
That's not a question. Its a statement. It's an honest mistake to be sure, but maybe its a sign that you should start spending more time thinking about how you might improve yourself and a little less time nitpicking every little detail of any given website.

Texas Conservatives Win Curriculum Change

http://t1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:mgHV_zzvDbZ_pM:http://edbatista.typepad.com/mankeybusiness/images/2005/05-02-13-02.jpg Bravo Texas!! Way to set the standard in learning back 100 years. Texas public school students will no longer learn about evolution, the enlightenment period, woman's suffrage, Thomas Jefferson, and a large chunk of black history (e.g., MLK day) to name a few. Glad to see that conservative Christian bullshit is dictating what is taught in school.

Link to a great NPR discussing the Texas school broad decision. Included in the show is a panel of members for and against it, including Don McLeroy the spokesperson in support of the Texas curriculum changes.

Does the NPR link support these claims? The link you posted was just about textbook policy.

No NPR just organized the debate and did what good media should do, which is just ask the questions, although at times you could hear the frustration of the reporter towards the represnetative from the Texas board. That jackass could not answer one of the questions directly. For someone backing such conservative religious changes to be made in education he failed to provide any answers to any of the questions.

For example when asked why they omitted The Enlightenment period from the history books he basically replies perhaps we could have kept it in. We will look into that.

BTW on the top of the page is the link to listen to the show.

There are two full length videos of the board voting on textbook standards, I'll try to find it.

Really? The Enlightenment? What did it get replaced with?
