Home Depot needs an anti-discrimination seminar

A former cashier for The Home Depot who has been wearing a "One nation under God" button on his work apron for more than a year has been fired, he says because of the religious reference. The company claims that expressing such personal beliefs is simply not allowed.

I don't see how you can strictly call it religious beliefs if its a quote form the Pledge of Allegiance.

Interestingly I found that 'under god' was not always in the Pledge.

republicans constantly remind us that our forefathers said one nation under god. they are probably very happy that it is not public knowledge that it wasnt added till the 50s. and while his button is stupid, he should not be fired for it especially by a company that advocates "doing it yourself"
