There seem to be lots of things missing or that just plain don't work.
That's not a question. Its a statement. It's an honest mistake to be sure, but maybe its a sign that you should start spending more time thinking about how you might improve yourself and a little less time nitpicking every little detail of any given website.

Figured I'd make a thread dedicated to chatting about what books you're reading.

Dexter Morgan Bounces Back
10/05/09 12:02 PM

Just finished Dexter By Design [4th Dexter book], not bad but not great. I would have preferred more blood and killing but it's certainly a step up from the third book - the creativity is still present. It has a nice wowzer ending that leaves you anxious for a 5th book, simply because this "life event" that springs up will certainly be new territory for Dastardly Daring Dexter to cover. I also appreciate how his sister Deborah's character develops in this novel. gets a B- from me.

Moving on to Marley & Me tonight, hopefully the story is as good as everyone I know that has read it insists.

i started reading "American Gods" by Neil Gamon but just like every other book ive ever tried reading by him, after about 60 pages, ive stopped reading it as its pretty much unreadable garbage.

I don't know why i ever think i might enjoy a book by him. It really just proves once again that millions and millions of people can be very very wrong.

Dont know what i'm going to read next.

Currently reading the second Dexter book, and I can't really bring myself to just fly right through it. I preferred the first one, honestly.
Also reading City of Bones that was suggested to me. It's okay.
And reading Perks of Being a Wallflower while I'm at work, because it's travel size. I've been in slow reading mode.

I think I need that new Charlaine Harris book that comes out tomorrow to put myself in mega reading mode. I'm excited!

I agree. =/ I tried reading Stardust by him but I just found myself zoning out and pretending I was reading something else.

In case you aren't aware, it's a collection of short stories she has written over time regarding the Sookie Stackhouse saga. I wasn't aware of this until the books came into the store earlier this week and I paged through it. I don't know if they're the stories supplied at the end of each book in the series but they don't look familiar to me so I'm going to go ahead and purchase it.

In a way I'm kind of glad that it isn't a new Sookie Stackhouse book, I don't like it when authors pump out books too quickly - the story and character development seems to fail due to the slim focus and dedication put into it's creation.

Ah, well fuck. I really want to know what happens with Eric. God damnit. =( What a tease.

I'll probably read it anyway. Haha.

Just finished the fourth True Blood book, and I quite liked it. Sookie hardly got on my nerves at all and I was actually anxious to finish it. Though I was a bit disappointed with the ending, almost seemed she tried to wrap things up right quick. But I'm pretty excited to start the next one that i'll likely get on Friday.

Yeah. she gains more confidence and a rougher hide so less weeping and whining throughout the progression of the series.

On Chapter 7 of Marley & Me and loving the story so far. Maybe my love for goofy and happy dogs makes me a little biased.
