Promoting idiotechnica in your community.

Now that the site is starting to feel ...not broken... it is time to start actually telling people about it.

When I was promoting my radio show at school, I used the time-tested "print a bunch of flyers and hand them out everywhere" strategy. I'm not opposed to doing it for the website, but I'm thinking business cards might fit the site a little better.

Is anyone willing to design some business cards?

Also, we need something to put on them.

Okay, maybe we should refrain from bashing the most beloved site on the internet, but you get the idea.

it would make more sense to have a button that says "hate christians and republicans?"

Create an idiotechnica fan group so that members can "be a fan" of it... Then it pops up on the pages of their friends to click on the link and check it out.

Also, idiotechnica group.

Stuff like that. I've also been posting on other forums like offtopic that have 1000+ members in there at all times and simply post an article with a link back to the article posted on this site instead of the source.

We could always host our own version of Olympics in Chicago, it would be pretty special.

Sticking with business cards, it would be a good idea to come up with dozens of slogans/catch phrases. Kind of like fortune cookies, it makes people in groups compare "what they got" with each other. If everyone gets the same card, people will pay attention to them more.
