My Sorta New Ibanez RG4EXQM

About 6 months ago, I bought a low end Ibanez. It was an RG3EXFM. I had owned an ibanez before but it was an s model and had a thin nick. All my experience previous to that was with strat sized necks so i never really felt comfortable on the S.
The RG neck is more strat size though so it felt nice from the get go. The low end RG i bought had a fixed bridge and 2 generic low quality humbuckers.
It didn't sound bad by any means and I was really only buying it to have something to play on and maybe work my chops up. Since my fingers were working again (better than ever even) I decided to get something with some real hardware on it. I played an RG4EXQM at guitar center and I liked it. They had it listed at 499 but I talked the price down to 420. I was concerned about an intonation issue and they wouldnt adjust the guitar until after I paid for it so I decided to wait. Then I find the exact model on craigslist 2 days later. It was a kid who wanted 350. I talked him down to 300 with a case and a stand. Other than the setup, the guitar was in pristine condition.
I had to get online and read about truss rods and all that good stuff because the action this kid had set up was god awful, but now I have the action pretty low with minimal buzz. I love this guitar. It has an edge 3 trem that doesn't go out of tune providing you let the trem pop into place. if you ease it back into the null position you might get left about an 8th tone flat and have to give it a quick yank to get it back to 0. I am assuming that getting new springs for the trem will fix that but its not a huge concern for me at this time. The pickups are ibanez brand with a duel coil humbucker at the bridge, a single coil in the middle and a duel coil humbucker at the neck. I will probably replace the bridge pickup at the very least with a dimarzio PAF MO.
In the mean time, this thing sounds great through my crap ass line 6 amp and records really well direct through my m-audio mobile pre.
The price I got this thing for was great, but even the retail price would have been a steal for all the guitar you get for the money. i heart my RG.
