I totally grew up on this anime.... one of the first to be broadcast in the United States alongside Speed Racer and G-Force (Gatchaman) in the early 80's. I didn't find out until years later that it had been seriously edited for U.S. release when it was dubbed in English, and that there was a third season unreleased in the U.S. During my trip to Australia 3 years ago, I picked up all three seasons of the unedited DVD's for a trip down memory lane. It was bliss.

The Japanese have finally made a live action film and it appears to have captured the tone of the original anime. Of course this 5 minute trailer has no english dubbing so I have no idea how silly it may have actually turned out. I'm sure that by the time it does get some english it will be train-wreck.
