Has anyone ever done a study investigating the relationship between religiousness (religiosity?) and obesity?   I'm curious if highly religious people are also highly obese.

I am not sure about morbid obesity and reliousity but I can tell you this and let you draw your own inferences.

Religiousity is highly corrected with lower  education level /  low self support systems (friends, family, partner) / low self-esteem (various personality and behavioral disorders). Moreover, some individuals are more likely to turn to religion after a tramactic event or in the face of life outcome uncertanity as a means to cope with the situation.

Obeisity has also been linked with lower education levels /  low self support systems (friends, family, partner) / higher prevalance in individuals with personality disorders, with some individuals, after expericeing a tramactic event or in the face of life outcome uncertanity, being more likely to turn to food as a means of comfort.
