1. Trees
The oldest tree in the world is almost 10,000 years old. The trees in my forest are 500-1000 years old. They are so large that sometimes they snap right in half and it looks like a giant walked by and knocked it down.
2. Moss
The moss covers everything. The moss covers the tree branches, the ground, and the welcome mat. The moss grows on cement, wood, and it covers the shingles of my house. The moss, along with the moisture, makes everything soft and therefore, quiet. Walking through the woods you are silent unless you are very clumsy.
3. Slugs
The slugs are spotted, slimy, and three-to-four inches long. They do not react when poked, except to stick their head under their protective skin "shell"
4. Birds
Flocks of blue jays squawk and scream. Crows stare down from the trees. A king fisher sits on the railing outside our window every morning, making his king fisher rounds.
5. GIANT SPIDERS
None, apparently, are poisonous.
Now I will try and obtain pictures of all these things. Go team, go.
