I was just downloading these videos for class and thought i would share them. 



I have a hard time watching the participants reactions to it.

i enjoyed watching the first guy repeatedly defer his responsibility. 3 times he didnt want to do it anymore and all 3 times he went back and did it.

Such an amazing and unsettling experiment.    



The lines "The experiment requires that you continue."  and "Please continue." are so neutral that it really is astonishing that people tend to obey and keep administering the shocks.

I agree. He didn't really exercise much authority. He just repeated the same exact line. I was waiting for him to say something like "Do it because I said so."

I was also surprised how emotional that researcher got. He looked like he was in pain almost every time they showed up.
