President's Choice Seven Grain Original Crackers - A Review

Tonight was my first venture into the exciting realm of President's Choice brand seven grain "original" snack crackers (seen above on right, cropped), a new product fresh on the recently revived cracker market, currently for sale in Ontario Canada.

The most immediate characteristic you will notice about these generally affordable enriched wheat flour products is that they do absolutely nothing.  Putting these crackers on a plate or desk will result in a complete and utter lack of activity, with equal results after exposing them to direct UV radiation, frigid tempuratres, or Latin Dance.  They are however extremely stackable, and can be constructed into a towering pillar approximately 18 crackers in height (provided a well constructed base) with little to no wobblage.   The crackers do float but will eventually sink to the bottom of your container or bathtub.

The crackers emit no sound on their own, but do produce a slight click when forced together with medium intensity.   I was unable to quantify the weight of each individual cracker, however the box indicates a total of 255g.   I am not sure if they include the box itself in this measurement, though assuming they do, the mass can be calculated as follows:

Total mass - (the box) / however many crackers are in there.

The crackers' appearance is best described using the French term 'craqueresque' and shape to form a pleasing quadrilateral of approximately 2cm^2.  They can be used as projectiles but are subject to extremely high wind resistance unless thrown with Miyagitious precision.   The style of the cracker can be interpreted as a push-back against the great cracker boom of the late 1990's when the resurging rave scene resulted in an overstyling and overthinking of cracker architecture and design. The President's Chioce Seven Grain Original Snack Cracker kicks it "O-school" and (seemingly?) leads the consumer to believe that no thought whatsoever had been put into it's rugged physique.

With that, I would like to give this product a well deserved 8 / 10 on my personal cracker scale.     If you were unsatisfied with the above review or wish to know more about this prodcut, please contact the President's Choice Corporation toll-free at 1-888-495-5111.
