It's our own fault. Sometimes I see a group of black kids and I think to myself "you guys are not helping"

you mean by self segregating? It's really hard to overcome. I do it too. I only have white friends. It's fucked up but it's just how it is.

I love when I hear blacks talk shit on other blacks because it's not racist... it's true. About 70% of the stereotyping I've seen to be true. I'm not racist but a realist.

I just read the preliminary write-up of this study.     Unless I misunderstood the methods, the questions they asked the kids were in the format:

Show me the child you would "like to play with"

Show me the child you would like as a "classmate"

Show me the "ugly" child

etc..

In this case, the child is forced to make a single choice.  That means even if the child truly believes in skin-colour equality, they are forced to choose one skin colour over the others in every trial.

With that in mind, it isn't at all surprising that a child would choose their own skin colour over others.  If you were raised by a purple family, the chances are pretty good that you will see purple people in a more positive light than say, green people.

All that being said, the video you posted doens't work (not sure if it is region-locked) so I might be missing some important piece of info.

Dylan, it was a half-assed study in order to become news. The news team hired the researchers. So yes, you're right.
