I don't know whats worse. That they think its not a big enough problem to pass a law, or the law they were going to pass only allowed officers to cite them if they pulled them over for other violations first.

we passed this awhile ago in washington. and the one thing they found, is that you have to be stricter than that. sooo now in June it becomes a primary offense to be holding a cellphone while driving unless its an emergency. ALSO anyone with a permit/intermediate license (teenagers, effectively) cant even use a headset. NO phone at all.

I seriously saw a girl on the freeway, around a fuckton of obnoxious roadwork taking pictures of her an her boyfriend, by leaning over the seat and taking them myspace style. She was fucking driving.

they should just have this thing in the car that if you pick up your phone it makes this annoying sound... or your car explodes. My gay ass seat belt yells at me, fuck, if you want to make people in the car safe just have your car yell at them.
