Some people were so immersed in the Avatar world that when the movie was over, they actually got depressed. Some of them are having suicidal thoughts. This does not say much for peoples ability to discern reality from fantasy. Maybe its finally time to give that 'violence on TV' debate another go.

I imagine that the people that get depressed over a movie are similar to these ladies:

I heard Avatar sucked, at least as far as plot, writing, and acting was concerned. Though I'm still curious about the special effects.

i may be crazy like those people. I was really sad it was all fake and it looked sooo real. and pretty. I almost cried when the fucking skypeople came and burnt the big tree. That reminded me of 9-11 seeing all the Navi crying was just like watching the news back in 2001. All you saw was people crying on tv. Also I got watery eyes when the girl told him the doggy'z didn't need to die in the beginning. I love Avatar I saw it for the first time on Saturday on IMAX 3d
then i saw it again the day after on regular 3d and i liked it better. and i was no longer sad because I saw it twice. with my friend who didn't want to see it. and i made her see it, and she loved it.

i want to give a shit about avatar

but i just dont.
