There seem to be lots of things missing or that just plain don't work.
That's not a question. Its a statement. It's an honest mistake to be sure, but maybe its a sign that you should start spending more time thinking about how you might improve yourself and a little less time nitpicking every little detail of any given website.

I made this scarf last night/this morning. It's about 6' long.
It's done with a "leno" weave which is picking up two strings, twisting the next two around it, picking up two strings, twisting the next two around it, etc. I think it is beautiful.

I would like to learn how to knit, sew, crochet, and all that kind of stuff. It seems relaxing.

I suggest weaving. It's easier than knitting, crochet, or sewing.
I got my burnt-out acid-head roommate started weaving and he's making some "mug rugs" for his mom for Christmas. Thing is, you need a loom but I have this tiny one I got for $15 at a wool festival a couple of months ago and it's awesome. I will see if I can find one online.

Schacht is a loom company in Boulder, Colorado that I love. They make this mini loom. I think my other roommate is getting one from his girlfriend for christmas ^_^ Everyone loves to weave!
