Any electricians in the house?

So the lights in my room (ceiling lights that just take normal bulbs) are turning on and off by themselves. There are two, and after being on for about 5 minutes, one bulb will turn off and about 1 minute later the other will turn off. Then the first light to turn off will come back on after a minute or two, and the same interval of time will pass until the second turns back on. They then stay on for about the same time (5min) and repeat.

I took out one of the bulbs, to see if it still did this. No luck. I turned off all the other lights in the house, to see if this changed anything. No luck.

I don't think the wattage is too high, because they seem to be about the same brightness as my previous bulbs. Also, as an unrelated side note, I did kill a gypsy about 3 weeks ago in a somewhat violent and horrible fashion in this very room. There is probably no correlation.
