Kimbo Slice vs. Houston Alexander

The fight itself was pretty boring. Kimbo chasing Alexander around the ring with an occassional leg kick from Alexander in the first round. The 2nd round was the best round of the fight. Kimbo frustrated with Alexanders unwilling to trade finally got into a clinch, slamming him to mat with a side suplex. On the ground Kimbo displayed some nice ground n pound. He got full mount and landed some brutal punches. Kimbo also unsuccessfully went for a rear necked choke. As the round closed Alexander got back to his feet and was taken down again but landing on top of Kimbo as the round ended. The 3rd round both fighters were exhausted. Alexander swept Kimbo off his feet with a leg kick. A few minor exchanges, overall not a very good fight. I scored the fight 29-28 for Kimbo. I was somewhat impressed with Kimbos control on the ground in the 2nd round along with his takedowns. I was very disappointed in Houston Alexanders unwillingness to trade punches in the center of the ring. When i first heard about this fight i was looking for a war. I think the UFC will keep Kimbo around because hes a good draw but i wouldn't count on him beating any of the upper tier fighters in the UFC. I think he needs to fight at Light Heavywight to have any chance of success. He would get destroyed by any of the UFC top Heavyweights.

Maybe I missed it, but Kimbo won the fight by unanimous decision? Split?

So after reading your summation of the fight I came across several terms that I have never heard of. And since idiotechnica is a site focused on learning and personal growth I thought I would try to guess what some of these terms mean:

side suplex-
Used in a sentence: slamming him to mat with a side suplex
side suplex: two guy named Swen who are surgically implanted at the hip.

ground n pound
Sentence: Kimbo displayed some nice ground n pound
ground n pound: the ability to efficiently cut and mix large amounts of cocaine

Word: rear necked choke
sentence: Kimbo also unsuccessfully went for a rear necked choke
rear necked choke- when you choke a red neck from behind.

(cut me some slack on these, it's late and I been working all day)
