idiotechnica broke into the top 200,000 alexa sites over the weekend ranking at 199,711.

To put this in perspective. vmo in its prime peaked around 37,000 (keep in mind, that this was 5 years ago and 37,000 was a much less impressive rank that it is today). vmo has not been under 300,000 in over 3 years.

Content is king (and so is lloyd). The great stuff you guys are submitting is getting us a lot of good search engine hits (a lot of really weird ones too). We are also recycling a lot of search engine traffic which means people come to read what you wrote and then they actually look around to see what else we have that's worth reading.

A few months back I read something that said if a site has a few people that submit quality content, it will do better and draw more traffic than a site that has tons of people that submit nothing. idiotechnica.com is proving to be a successful experiment towards that hypotheses.

Also, for the record - I've made 3 pages worth of news links, threads and blogs since February and only 13 happen to have anything to do with my life. =oP I think you all can think of this as a considerable improvement!
