You guys like beer, right?

So my brother wants me to pick out his xmas gift on my own this year and he's the hardest person ever to buy for. I'm trying to stay away from books, and he's suuuuuper pretentious about music (even though he likes Phish). So I had the thought to get him some really yummy beer. Wanted to get him some Yuengling, because I know he's tried it and liked it, and it's not available here. But I can't find a place to order it online.

SO! What beers are really good for a semi-beer snob? I'm not sure what he usually drinks, but he seems to like a variety.

If you can pinpoint the types of beers he likes, I can recommend my favorites of those variety. I like darker beers, like dunkels and stouts, but I also like the redder ones like Scottish ales.

I guess it also depends on how hard you're willing to look.

I happen to like Chimay Ale, Port Brewing Hop-15 Ale, Rogue Three Philosophers...

Here's a site I go to in order to pick out a new beer to try, I've linked you directly to the top beers section:

I only drink Heineken and am constantly ridiculed for it.

you can't order beer through usps. But you can go through your local liquor store and have them order it for you.

I've found a few websites that'll ship beer to me. I think I'll likely just got with a sampler pack of local micro brews or importeds.

Thanks sooo much, I never drink beer and have no clue about what's good.
