Posts: General / Dessert Contest

I just finished putting out my "Mohr Chocolate Cake" on the judging table with the three pieces for the judges. So nervous, this is the first time I enter in a dessert contest. Everyone said my presentation is best of all the entries, very "food network-y". heh

Judges Sample:

The melted white stuff WAS icecream. haha

It has Kahlua, fudge chocolate pudding mix, devils food chocolate cake mix, chocolate dark coffee, mini semi-sweet Ghirardelli chocolate morsels and a Ghirardelli chocolate glaze on top. I served it with strawberries, strawberry sauce, a dollop of whipped cream and icecream. :)

wow, thats alot of chocolate. I dont like chocolate but to someone that does, im sure that sounds fantastic! Oh and its prettttty!

4th place out of 15 desserts :) there was only a 10 point spread between mine and the first place winner.

1st: Peanut butter cup chocolate cake
2nd: Cranberry creme brulee tartlets
3rd: Tiramisu

Looks impressive, but they wouldn't stand a chance next to my patented "Chocolate Chip Scrambled Egg Wrap Surprise."
