$600 monthly cut in pay, for a job you love?

Pretend [if needed] that you dread being at your current job and are offered a supervisor position doing what you love to do... Buuut you have to take a cut in pay of about $600 monthly.

*Also, that cut and pay won't affect your comfortable living status - bills will still be covered, money saved and you can entertain yourself.*

Would you take that job?

That's how I see it. My parents were very "eeeh, we wouldn't" so now I'm second guessing myself.

I say do it. If it isnt going to put a damper on you financially, I dont see why not.

I'd be dumping the current day job - was finally offered a managerial position at Barnes & Noble but with a different store closer to home. Store manager said it's the best opportunity to later training into running "my own" store. It's the route she took, anyways.

Depends.

If this low-paying job will allow you to work your way up to somewhere you want to be, then yes, absolutely 100% go for it.

If you think however that your current job will open more doors down the line - and might eventually land you somewhere you want to be in the long run, then stay the course.
